Turn of BPAY Option
I know this has been asked many times over the last couple of years but I would like MYOB to turn off the BPAY option for online payments. I am only wanting to use the service for credit card payments and not incur the BPAY charges if clients decide to pay that way, even though I have told them not too. Surely it can't be that difficult to give the different options.

Why has MYOB not created a pop up reminder for dates for employee birthdays and employment anniversary's? It would be such a great step to take to not only ensure these dates a remembered but also for compliance such as pay increase for juniors that are due once they are of certain ages. It could work just like the pop up when you first log in for other reminders such as reoccurring payments.
ABILITY TO ATTACH IN MYOB ACCOUNTRIGHT DESKTOP
WITH SO MANY REQUESTS AND STILL NO MOVEMENT IN ADDING INTRAY FOR SALES LIKE THEY DO WITH PURCHASES THE ABILITY TO ATTACH CUSTOMER PURCHASE ORDERS AND OTHER DOCUMENTS WOULD BE IDEAL BUT WITH SO MANY REQUEST FEEL THE USERS ARE ON DEAF EARS WHEN TRYING TO GET MYOB TO START DOING IT.Multiple Entity Names
Hi, It would be good to be able to enter the entity name and the "Trading As" name on a client card. We have most clients using a family trust or entity name and trading a something completely different. It would be good to be able to look up either when searching. The "trading as" name which we enter in the card does not match the ABN, as that obviously relates to the entity name. This can be quite confusing. Thanks, Jenni
Glitch in Payruns and Standard pay
Hello Three system glitches that need fixing, and I dont know how they haven't been already!! Have been an issue for years. Using the web based version of Account right. In Employee set up, you must have hours in pay cycle. These hours then transfer over to the tab "standard pay". This should not happen unless you enter it manually as currently it then adds itself into the pay run and the employee shows up as working twice the amount of hours, if you are running on timesheets to calculate the hours. EXAMPLE: I gave my employee a payrise. For some reason, under the Standard Pay tab, in wages - base hours, 38 has automatically been placed there. My employee does a timesheet every week on which he gets paid those hours. When I start a new pay run, instead of the 30hours worked it is showing 68 hours because of this strange automatic adding of a "standard pay". PLEASE REMOVE THIS. Next, when you start a pay run, it says "No timesheets for this pay period" even though there is. You have to change the date to tomorrow then back to today in order for the current timesheets to show up for selection. Why is it like this? Please fix. Next, when entering bills the automatic fill in will pick up the business the bill is for but no other information. I have found if you select a random different business, then go back to selecting the correct business then the autofill will pick up the right information for that business./ All such frustrating tedious things that shouldn't occur in a programe thats been running for this long. It makes MYOB so clunky and finicky to use, no wonder so many are giving up on it. Please fix what needs to be fixed instead of updating the look of the dashboard every 6 months. We pay enough money for this program that it shouldnt be so annoying to use.Hide Negative on PAY SUPERANNUATION window
When you have superannuation guarantee contributions returned as unpaid due to wrong Super Fund supplied, you need to perform the Receive Money in Banking, then record negative super guarantee through pay run, then change details in employee card, and finally record positive super guarantee through pay run. Once you have done this you then can go to PAY Superannuation window and process the POSITIVE amount and authorise for payment to new super fund information. After the above you actual will still have the NEGATIVE amount showing on the PAY Superannuation window. My idea would be to have a HIDE button / option for negatives on this window next to the record. As we cannot delete it and will will show continually until year dot... you should be able to HIDE it somehow. Thank you.
Sales, Receive Money and Receive Payments attachment option
Im surprised that since a request back in 2015 the feature to be able to attach documents from an intray to sales, receive money and receive payments. It is so important to be able to attach purchase orders to sales created in myob for clients. Also remittance advices for payments from clients.
AccountRight Desktop exit should log you out
Due to the new changes in MYOB AccountRIght Desktop application, exiting the desktop app (either by going File->Exit or just quiting the app through the Close Window button at the top right or pressing ALT-F4) no longer automatically logs you out of your account. This needs to be reinstated and accepted as one of the standard ways to logout of your account. For those who want to be remembered bing back the "Remember me for 12 hours" tick box, make it a user preference even. Regards DamienRemove Emergency Contact Info from Payroll Advice Report
Can you please remove the Emergency Contact Details from the Payroll Advice Report. The report is sent to 3rd parties (WorkCover QLD for example) and should not include Emergency Contact Details. The Emergency Contact Details are automatically loaded into the Notes on the employees Card File when Onboarding has been completed. I believe Emergency Contacts should have their own section, not just shoved into notes. And why is the Payroll Advice Report reading the Notes section on the Card File anyway? This issue is in breach of privacy legislation and the solution given of exporting to excel, removing emergency contact details, then re-pdf to send is cumbersome.
INVENTORY REPORT WITH LOCATION
THE INVENTORY REPORT CURRENTLY CAN BE GROUPED BY ITEM OR LOCATION, WHICH CAN BE THE DIFFERENCE OF A 50 PAGE REPORT TO A 10 PAGE REPORT DEPENDING ON HOW MUCH INVENTORY THERE IS. CURRENTLY WE CAN CHOOSE THE ITEMS TO DISPLAY WHICH CAN LIMIT THE REPORT DOWN. WHY NOT ALSO HAVE A CHOICE ON LOCATION, ALL OR JUST 1 THANKS IN ADVANCE

We need a function within MYOB AccountRight to allow authorisation of invoices by staff prior to payment. Not having this function is a real disadvantage, and when working remotely as many do these days, it is becoming more essential to have this as a standard function. Is there a timeline for developing this function into MYOB? If not, we will probably be changing to another accounting software option.Online Payments: Credit Card Surcharge
I have looked through posts dating back to 2012 and beyond where people have been requesting the ability to have MYOB automatically calculate and (where applicable) add a surcharge for Credit Card payments. I have the PayDirect device and need to re-issue an invoice to manually add an extra line for a surcharge to the invoice while the customer is with me. Now that PayDirect Online has been released, a customer has the ability to pay an invoice with their credit card at their leisure, but I end up being charged for it without the customer even being aware. I have phoned customer service and was informed that there is currently no way of automatically adding the surcharge and the system doesn't do it. I amcurrenlty on the screen to setup PayDirect Online so have not tested it myself. The advice of customer service was to increase my fees to cover the surcharge. Not really fair on people who are not paying by card. Personally, I would have thought this issomething that should have been written into the software prior to releasing the Online component, or should be an option included in the online section that adds the surcharge to the final total prior to the customer paying. Bank Feeds: Hide multiple transactions at a time
In the Bank Feeds window, I would like the ability to hide multiple transactions (not just one at a time). This wouldbe a great feature if not available. Can anyone assist in this regard? There is currently no way to hide or delete authorised (or approved) PaySuper transactions so ones that need to be amended will still show as partially authorised (if 2 authorisations required) "PaySuper - delete or hide reversed paysuper payments"
Sales: In Tray - attach documents
I have seen the in tray for purchases and ask if there are any plans to add an in tray to the sales invoice side. It would be very helpful to us as a solar installation company to store all compliance and design pdfs with the installation sale record, so that over time we when we re-visit the sale record we can find all of that in one place. how can I make the view of the document from the in-tray larger without having to download it? When I create a new bill and have the split screen. It does not matter how wide my monitor is I cannot increase the view, I have empty space on either side of the information and using the (+-) you end up with a scroll bar, which defeats the purpose of wanting to see the whole document, so it is readable. This makes the process so much longer and time-consuming. On the desktop, MYOB would open in Adobe without having to download it.
Pay Superannuation: Show Processing Date of transaction
The penalties are increasing for late super and the deadline is not the date the money has left the bank it is the date it is received and processed by the Super fund. The date listed in the Manage Payments window indicates the date it was created, not the date approved or the date completed. The date completed is the most critical date. Can MYOB please show the actual DATE of completion for super as that seems to be the only thing that really matters from a compliance perspective. To provide more detail, I'd suggest 2 more date columns in the Manage Payments window, Date created (current date field), date approved/authorised and date completed. This gives total transparency to the business owner and the Consultant's/Bookkeepers/ BAS Agents and Tax Agents. I think that this is critical information that the Business owner currently has absolutely no way of gaining. "Show Super Processing Date"
MYOB TEAM Rosters
Dear Myob developers It would be great if the system would block off the days for an employee who has requested leave that particular day/s, so they dont accidentally get rostered on. At his time, once you approve an employees requested leave, you can still roster them on, on those day/s. It makes it very difficult to rememeber not to roster people on, when they applied for the leave a month ago and the roster system still allows you to roster them on. Also would be great to set split shifts in one day, as multiple employees are multiskilled and able to assit in other roles in the business, but i cant set more than 1 shift in a day. I have seen a post about this from 2021 and yet no updates have been made to accommodate this and we are in 2024. We took on this system to simplyfy rostering and timekeeping, yet these sort of things are making it more of a hassle. Please take these points into serious consideration when upgrading your sytem. Another thing to consider. I have also made the comment before about having a "PRINT ALL" option for payslips, you have a "email all" option but to print the payslips, we have to open the PDF of every employee, one by one, to print them, which is a very tedious process.Names of contact alongside their phone number in company card
HI, Is it possible to add a contact's name (and position?) alongside their phone number in the supplier/customer card? There are lots of spaces for phone numbers, but nowhere to enter who's number it is. There is also limited space to write in the contact space. Bright ideas department to make MYOB more user friendly. The In Tray works OK. Would it be possible to preview the pdfs without actually opening them, say with a magnifying glass? We have 35 franchises currently using Accountright that have 2 different awards for payroll. Across both awards, there are 124 payroll categories for FT/PT plus that again for casual. Each pay category has a base rate plus 15 different shift rates. For each award update, each franchise requires each individual pay item to be manually updated. Hi MYOB Team, I can see that this has previously asked by many other users in the "MYOB Community", and whilst they have all been replied to and then "closed" for comment, this hasn't rectified nor made the problem businesses face go away. Can we please have either: 1. the ability to automatically pass on BPAY merchant surcharge fees to clients on invoices, just like we do with MASTERCARD and VISA; and/or 2. the abilitiy to switch off BPAY as a payment option, right now it is lumped in with Mastercard and VISA. When we were part of the pilot program this was rarely an issue for us, but since being fully rolled out, regular users now know that by selecting BPAY as their method of payment they can avoid the surcharge fees. Initially after getting stung a few times we had to decide what level of fees we're prepared to cop? As a result we'd chosen to disable the payment feature all together for all "account clients" leaving it only available for Cash Sale Invoices and only if they're less than $500 because whilst this is a great feature the costs associated are NOT! Remove the automatic cheque numbers for every transaction in spend money and payroll. Most clients use internet banking & EFT these days, so cheques shouldn't be the default option. I would really like to be able to submit my New Employees Tax File Number Declarations Online in possibly the STP section of MYOB Accountright. I see theres a new Attachment section in the Card File for Employees - so have added their TFN Decs here, but will the ATO see this? I am currently employing another 15- 20 new employees each year and having to post them all (individually) via snail mail seems archaic, especially now there is STP. Currently MYOB and ATO have informed me there is no such thing available using Accountright, so Please Please consider adding this simple but very effective means of getting New Employees TFN Decs to the ATO and not having them get lost in the post. I am using AccountRight Plus AU 2023.5.1.4. When I launch the application, my account password and a 2FA token are both required to login. There is an option to trust the device for 30 days so that the 2FA token is not required during that period. However, the password is still required and there is only an option to not require the password for a maximum of 12 hours. I don't require this level of security in my environment which is a PC that no one else uses. Ideally I would like to extend the period that a password is not required so that a password and a 2FA token are only required once per month. Is this possible to achieve?Payroll Reporting (STP): Open through desktop app (after STP v2)
When processing payroll, I record the payroll, and don't submit the STP report straight away, so I can check that job numbers have been allocated to all transactions by running a consolidated jobs P&L and comparing it to the whole company P&L. I used to then be able to go to payroll reporting centre, and send the report with a few clicks once I'd confirmed everything was okay, or deleted and reprocessed any wrong entries. Now that we've transitioned to STP phase 2: I click on Payroll Reporting Centre which opens my browser where I then have to click on Next before I can type my password and click on Sign in then I have to choose the company file then click on Payroll then click on Single touch payroll reporting then click on the relevant transaction which takes me to yet another screen where the send to ato button is waaaaaay down the bottom so I have to scroll down the page before I am finally able to send to ATO. Was this user-tested before it was implemented? Was it only tested by people who use the browser version and not the desktop software. so they were already logged in? Or did MYOB simply ignore any feedback they were given? Although I've been doing it for years, I can't remember exactly how few clicks this used to be - I'm thinking maybe 3 or 4 - but this new process ^^^ is absolutely ridiculous and will drive me insane every week. It still beats having to reverse pays just to change a job allocation. [I still think there has to be a better way to reverse pays while keeping an audit trail - particularly when the $ amounts aren't changing, but hey, that's a whole other issue.] I don't even really mind having to log in to the browser, but you could at least take me straight to where I need to go, like lodging the BAS online. MYOB currently has only TWO main features I use regularly that Xero does not have. If Xero gets their act together and introduces them before MYOB manages to bring AccountRight back to being the solid, reliable, user-friendly program it used to be, then I'll be making the switch. The race is on. I'd rather stick with MYOB but some days it seems every time I turn around I find another reason NOT to use it. Another great suggestion... Having a save button or auto save on the invoice number. When there are multiple people doing invoicing, the invoice number is not particular to that one person. Its whoever saves first gets the invoice number first which is rather annoying as there are always corrections that have done after the fact if someone gets the invoice number you think you have.Email: Be able to add a proper CC field to emails
Hi Guys, We have a situation where a client needs to email asalesinvoice to multiple customer contacts as well as cc it to various internal stakeholders. The only way you can do this at the moment is by either manually adding all emails to the email field in the contact card (fine for customer email addresses, not for the internal stakeholder ones), or manually checking and changing each email as it goes out to have the right people on it (not effective you have large numbers of customers). Ideal solution would be adjust 'Email' in the Contact card to be 'Primary email' and have a new field called 'CC Email' which then flows through to the email screens. On AR desktop you could choose to show the purchase number or the supplier invoice number when paying a bill, but the browser version does not give this option and when paying bills or allocating bank feed you are only given the option for the purchase number. Can we please have the Invoice Number showing. It is particularly difficult when there are many invoices for the same amount. An quite honestly the Invoice Number is what we all work with. I think it would be helpful to be able to choose the size, or even just enlarge by default, the thumbnails of the invoices in the In Tray. They are currently way too small to discern enough detail to identify a particular invoice if you need to find one without opening each one in turn. This is time consuming and could be overcome if the thumbnails were larger.
Cards: Prefill Postcodes/Suburbs
I have had a suggestion from a client about when you enter either a suburb field, or a postcode field that the opposing field comes up with automatic suggestions as to pre-fill. For example: If I were to enter a suburb field as Adelaide, that MYOB suggests that the postcode for that suburb is 5000 and the state is South Australia Would shorten data entry time when creating new card files.
