MYOB Essentials Invoice Fields Do Not Fit Across The Page

Hi,

Today I created an invoice in MYOB Essentials and when I view or export the invoice the Description column takes up too much width and both the Tax and Amount columns do not fit on the invoice.

The last invoice that I created was in March 2023 and it was fine however if I view or export that previous invoice it also has the same problem with the Description column being too wide and the Tax and Amount column do not fit across the page.

I have attached 2 screenshots of the current and previous invoices.

How do I fix this problem with my invoices?

    I am experiencing the same issue, with all invoices and quotes. Likely an error since the recent upgrade?

      Hi HelenKM

      That could be the case.

      When I searched for solutions to this problem I found that some users were asking for the description field to be wider and if this change has been implemented in a recent update the description field could now be too wide and that is causing the problem that we are experiencing.

      I am having the same issue also, very frustrating when trying to get Invoices out to be paid.

    My Amounts were cut off. The "Sales Settings" workaround didn't work for me. But I found something that did. If you click "Email Quote" instead of "View PDF", then email it to yourself, the attached PDF is formatted correctly... well it was for me at least. Hope this helps somebody.

      Hi All

       

      We've noticed the hiccup with the invoices, specifically with the amount column getting cut off. No worries, we're already working on the case. In the meantime, if you need to have the invoices sent to your customer, we highly recommend viewing invoice link from the email as it is showing the full invoice. Thank you for your patience and understanding.

        Doreen_Pthis is also affecting quotes - can you please make sure that they are addressing that as well. Thanks for updating us.

    Yes I am having the same issue with all Invoices - at least now I know its not something I haven't  done.

      It seems we are not the only ones experiencing this problem, hopefully action will be taken soon to fix it.

      I don't want to manually edit each invoice I create.

    I am having the same problem with invoices and quotes.

    I also wish they would go back to the old sequencing of invoices being separately numbered to quotes as it used to be. This problem has gone on for too long

      Hi CathrineJNic

      The problem happens when using the 'Services' field layout for creating invoices.

      I changed the layout to 'Services and items' and created a new invoice and then viewed the invoice and it is fine.

      Try changing to Services and Items field layout to see if that helps.

      MYOB still needs to look at this problem with the Services field layout.

    I also have the same problem, since this morning.  So "Hello MYOB. Are you listening to us?" Changing to Service and Items is not a suitable change for our business.  Please fix this problem ASAP, since sending and viewing invoices before they are sent is very important to us all.

    I have exactly the same problem. I had to manually added the Amounts.

      I went into Sales Settings and changed the field layout from 'Services' to 'Services and items' and saved, see the attached screenshot.

      After I changed this setting and re-entered my invoices they did not have the problem.

    Having the same problem with generating a quote today. The amount is being cut off when I go to download or print the quote and send to a client. My workaround until they fix it was to email the quote to myself and then drag it into onto my desktop. Hope they fix it ASAP.
