"System.ServiceModel.Security.SecurityAccessDeniedException: Access is denied." when using AccountRight

Hi Everyone,

Current Status: Resolved with the release of AccountRight 2017.1. Do make sure that you re-enable auto sync once you have upgraded to AccountRight 2017.1

We have received reports from some clients about getting the following error message when using AccountRight.

Issue: "System.ServiceModel.Security.SecurityAccessDeniedException: Access is denied." or "Autofac.Core.DependencyResolutionException" messages when AccountRight crashes

Product: AccountRight

Workaround: Is to disable automatic synchronisation for the company file.

To disable automatic synchronisation:

  1. In AccountRight, open the company file for which you want to disable synchronisation.
  2. Click the status bar menu (at the bottom of the window) and choose Disable Auto Sync

  3. Restart AccountRight

Can't see the Disable Auto Sync option?
This will only display if you have previously synchronised your online company file. See Manual synchronisation.

Please note: To ensure you maintain an up-to-date offline copy of your company file (which might be needed if you’re ever unable to access your online company file), after disabling auto sync we recommend you still manually synchronise your company file at regular intervals.

Our team is actively working on finding a resolution to the issue. We will keep you posted via this post.

Kind Regards,
