Could there be a filter in the database that screens out all inactive customers when selecting especially for receive a payment?

"Filter for drop down boxes"

Current Status: Done

 Hi @NewcastleClean

Welcome to the MYOB Community Forum.

Both the Classic and AccountRight 201x versions do not list any 'Inactive' customers within the customer drop down box within the "Receive Payments" screen.  Also an 'Inactive' customer cannot be selected from the customer drop down box in the "Sales" screens etc.

However, it does not prevent a user from entering the name of an inactive customer in say the "Payments Screen"; it could be that the customer still owes money to you (the business), that is currrently a feature of AccountRight.

@NewcastleClean

In view of what I have written could you please be more specific in respect to "...filter in the database that screens out all inactive customers..."?

Thank you.

Hi @NewcastleClean

As @TonyLane has indicated the AccountRight Classic versions do exclude inactive cards from certain windows. With AccountRight 2014.4, in certian files the Sales>>Receive Payment window can show inactivate cards, whether as others do not.

Inactive cards appearing in certain windows is something that we are looking into for future releases of AccountRight 201x. In particular the Sales, Purchases, Receive Payments and Print/Email Invoices/Statements windows.
