Hi MYOB Development Team,

 

For future builds can you add Monthly Budgets for Jobs please.

 

I love MYOB software however one frustrating point I find with MYOB, is that you cannot set monthly Job budgets.

 

When running an organisation with multiple departments and Department Managers an Executive Officer needs to be able to see how each department is doing in comparisson to their budgets. 

MYOB will allow an annual budget to be set for Jobs which is great however, by setting budgets monthly you will be able to better meet your annual goals because you will better track your monthly figures. 

In doing so, you can make adjustments each following month to ensure you hit your annual goals.

 

It would also be very handy, to be able to break this down to Actuals v Budgets on several scales, EG Weekly, Monthly, Bi Monthly, Quarterly, Bi Anually etc....

This would help me so much as well as my department managers. I am all for this amendment to an excellent software package.

Yes, this is a great idea.  Doing a project with a QS, and would be great to be able to track the spending, as the QS is the one who gives persmission to the bank, to get further drawdowns. 

Surprised, that MYOB doesn't already have this.

Hi All

 

Can you please enable jobs to have an individual budget that reports monthly and year to date. As a not-for-profit organisation employee, we receive multiple grants that require separate reporting and acquittals. The jobs in MYOB address needs for business selling goods or services only. TIA

Absolutely agree that this is would be a very helpful addition in MYOB.  We need budgets at the job level on a MTD and YTD basis in MYOB that will enable us to produce reports directly out of the accounting system, instead of having to reinput into excel each month to prepare meaningful job reports.  Actual V budget job reports please!  Caroline

Some of our clients would like to be able to enter budget information for specific jobs on a monthly basis for both the current year and future year. Then being able to report on these showing actual v budget v last year. Currently only annual job budgets can be produced.

I would like to be able to run a monthly job profit and loss budget analysis report.  This is how we report to our board.  Currently we have a massive chart of accounts as each job has its own set to enable us to produce this information.

I too need to be able to enter monthly budgets by job. I currently have to pay for another licence for a third party software that has this capabilty. It is very time consuming at the end of each month.

PLEASE HELP

 

We have just updated Account Right Plus to v19 for STP and very important report option we use for all our events was not available anymore the budget report field, please see the following screen shot ( I know this screen shot is an older version but the option was still available under v18).

 

While waiting on  the phone to speak to one of your MYOB Specialist I went on to your community forum and saw quite a few complaints in regards to the same problem, I have attached a couple to show that there is a demand for this function.

 

As mentioned this is an important function when we produce reports as re have recurring events which we place under same job number instead of having to create one each year, and change the budget for that year, so we can produce current reports.

 

With this we would really appreciate your assistance in placing this option under the current Account Right version 19.

“would appreciate if MYOB could reinstate the ability to attach a budget to the Job Profit and Loss statement report. This was available in the previous version 19. - I do not understand why it was removed - we have a large number of jobs and it was much more efficient to review a monthly Job profit and Loss against the budget in one report  rather than having to produce two reports.......May we PLease PLease have this taken in consideration” 

 

 

“I have just been on Live Chat & they've also said that it's not available & that I'd need to run two reports.  This is extremely frustrating as I rely heavily on those reports & having to run two reports to provide the info that I used to get from one seems ludicrous when a product has supposedly been 'updated'
