With the introduction of the new "enhanced-GST" (E-GST) system through the online services, will the Prepare GST return option in the New Zealand versions of AccountRight be modified so you can export the file and upload the file like employer monthly schedules directly to IRD ? Also if you are able to export a gst return to file, could an option be added to enable individual companies GST return consolidated together to produce one combined GST return ?

"New Zealand Prepare GST Return"

Current Status: Done
Last Changed: January 2017

Hi Everyone

With the release of AccountRight 2016.2 comes the ability to file your GST Return online using AccountRight. This can be done via the Accounts>>Prepare GST Return option and selecting the File Online tab.

Please note that your company file does need to be online to have access to this feature, if not online you can still file manually.

We certainly agree that it would be great to be able to electronically file the GST Return for New Zealand. The IRD recently announced their plans for enhanced-GST, the initial enhancements by the IRD won't support direct electronic filing , but MYOB are working closely with IRD around plans for electronic filing of GST.
