So it seems I am correct to believe this is yet another on the long list of limitations on MYOB....

    Hi Jpyn

    Thanks for the question.

Right now, the best way to update multiple item details or settings all at once is by importing the updates. If you'd like a detailed walkthrough on how to do this, I suggest checking out our articles on 'Importing Data' and 'Importing and Exporting Data - Using an Import Template'.

      Hi Genreve

      Thank you for your response.

I am aware of the process to import bulk data changes.

My question is regarding changing bulk "Item Number" field. I'm wanting to update my current item list and change the Item number field for multiple products at once.

However to me it seems MYOB defaults to using "Item Number" to link with existing data.

Meaning that if I change the Item number then MYOB creates a new product instead of updating an existing one.

Is there a work around for this?

I want to update the Item Number field for multiple items at one.

        Hi Jpyn,

Thanks for your response. The workaround I suggest for updating multiple items at once is to export your item information to Excel. Start by going to the File menu and selecting Import/Export Assistant. Update the information in Excel accordingly. Once you've exported your item information from AccountRight, you can make the necessary updates in Microsoft Excel. After updating the information in Excel, you can then import your changes back into AccountRight. For more detailed instructions, please refer to this help article Editing items.

Feel free to post again, we're happy to help!
