Import Bank Statements without rolling over previous year

Hi there,

We run MYOB Cashbook ( a old version, I think it has bee running from 2008!)

I would like to keep the 2016 accounts open for any additional reports required by our accountant to finish off our end of year accounts. Our FY runs Jan  - Dec.

Am I able to do this & start importing the bank statements for 2017? Currently it won't allow me to do this.

I have read some forums and tried to lock the year up to Dec 2016 but I still can't import this years statments.

Any help you can provide will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance

Re: Import Bank Statements without rolling over previous year

HI @Lottie

Welcome to the MYOB Community Forum, I hope you find it a wealth of knowledge

To import statements with NZ Cashbook you do need to be in the financial year that you are importing the statement into. For example if you are in the Jan - Dec 2016 you can't import statement for dates in Jan - Dec 2017. You will prompted with the following message when a date from is entered after the financial year date for Importing Transactions:

The financial year will need to be completed in order to import those statements. New Zealand Cashbook Support Note: Starting a new financial year would be able to assist with that process.

Do let us know how you get on and if you require further assistance.

Kind Regards,
Steven
