Inventory Issues
Hi With the current flow of process, I want to know how this case study works lets say we manufacture a product called "X" which we manufacture, count and inventorise as "Count Inventory" and lets ...
Hi Doreen
Can you clarify on the below.
I have a query regarding our current entry of sales orders. We currently enter the order date and promised date as same day for instance if we are currently taking an customer order for 01st of June delivery we are entering the order date and the promised date as 01st of June.
By doing this are we comprimising our current inventory by forward dating and forward invoicing.
Hi Phani,
If the order and promised dates are identical, it may not accurately reflect your inventory status, particularly if system updates are delayed or order fulfillment faces unforeseen issues. This could lead to insufficient inventory for all orders, especially for multiple orders of the same product. It's advisable to review your sales order process and consider more effective inventory management strategies. The method of recording will depend on your preference. For more information, refer to our resources on inventory management and the sales order process.
