Wage category for Rental Assistance (FBT remote housing exemption)

I need to record payments of Rental Assistance for our employees which is FBT Free due to our location being remote . Can anyone suggest a wage category? and what ATO reporting category should be use...

Hi ANAS 

 

I'm sorry to see that no one has replied to you yet. You will need to speak to your accountant or the ATO about the applicable ATO reporting category and whether the payment should be reported as an Allowance or Expense.

 

The Help Article, Payroll catgories, has information to assist with creating that payroll category.
