Inventory cost problem

Hi,

Iam having the issue of my product average cost keeps on increasing as my quantity decreases. Its come to a stage where the average cost has increased more than our selling price showing a loss which infact is not true.

I have attached a screen shot for viewing.

Please advice how to solve this.

thanks

Re: Inventory cost problem

Hi @magenta_avi, the apparent unit cost of the stock on hand varies from $2104 to $5967 at the end of the period, presumably wildly incorrect. Without more background and information, it is not possible to advise you.

I recommend that you seek the assistance of a consultant with thorough knowledge of inventory, who can review the file and trace through the transactions and analyse what is going wrong. With errors of this magnitude, there could be problems with the item set-up, for example with the number of items per buying and/or selling unit. Many other scenarios are possible.
