Banking File

Hi everyone. Note being an exxpert in this area I thought I would put it out online.

An American company I do work for said the bank requires an ISO 2002 XML file in .001.001.03. Search on the site didnt answer.

Anyone know?

Re: Banking File

Hi @kezsydney

Welcome to the MYOB Community Forum, I hope you find it a wealth of knowledge

It sounds like they are referring to ISO 20022, which from what I gather is an International Organization standard for electronically exchanging data between financial institutions.

In terms of banking files generated from AccountRight, for making payments electronically using Prepare Electronic Payments an ABA file is generated. An ABA file is the format that the majority of Australian banks will allow for clients to upload transactional and payment information to make payment through Internet banking or another source. It is a format issued by the Australian Bankers Association

As AccountRight is intended to for use within Australia, an ABA file format may not comply with other countries banking, electronic and reporting standards.

Kind Regards,
Steven
