GST Claim

Hi,

if i have purchased item for about 800AUD , do i require my adress and do i have to be the person whose card was used to purchase the product?

if the purchase amount increases 1000$ how can i submit GST claim and what is needed?

Re: GST Claim

Are you talking about purchasing something from overseas?  Not sure I understand the question.

Or are you an overseas tourist to Australia and you want to claim the GST spent in Australia as you leave the country?  If so, see this page on the Australian Government website:  https://www.homeaffairs.gov.au/trav/ente/tour/are-you-a-traveller

If you are an Australian business registered for GST, then you can claim GST on your BAS, but you should be using the purchased goods in your business, and you should have a Tax Invoice from the supplier with the GST shown and their ABN quoted on it.  It shouldn't matter if you used someone else's credit card for the purchase, but if you didn't reimburse them, then you didn't spend the money and you can't claim any GST back.

Does that help?
