AO SQL Server

Are there generic login codes so I can run a query on my AO Sql Database. The reporting in AO is so bad I thought I'd try to connect Power BI to the database and run some queries :-)

Re: AO SQL Server

Hi @AntBelrose

Thanks for the question.

You can find the default SQL Admin username and password in the following KB:

Error: "There was a problem connecting to the database" during the MYOB AO installation?

However, we would recommend creating another user account in SQL server, with only READ priviledges to the MYOB database.

Once you connect other usersr and applications to the our database tables, and make changes, you run the risk of doing irrepparable damange to the database that is not covered by support.

You are more than welcome to create additional user accounts that just read from the database, however.

Is there particular reports that you need, that do not exist?  why not give our support team a call and request these to be added as an enhancement - our product management team can then work to get them added into the product where necessary.

cheers,
