Re: EFT Reconciliation Statement

@HasanAcar

Perhaps you can give us some details of what you mean by an EFT Reconciliation Statement. The use of the term EFT is a term to describe an action rather than a definitive part of the accounting process.

Re: EFT Reconciliation Statement

Hello Ron

Look up EFT Reconciliation statement on the ATO website https://www.ato.gov.au/Tax-professionals/Electronic-lodgment-service/Reports/Type-of-reports/.

Xero has the ability to run this but it doesn't seem like MYOB can: https://practicestudiohelp.xero.com/au/Tax-AUEFTReport.

Re: EFT Reconciliation Statement

Here's a step by step instruction for MYOB Accountants Office for anyone that wants to know the answer:

  2. Select ELS Report to request
    1. Go to Tax – Client Search
    2. Click Select for Lodgement on the left hand side
    3. Enter Master Password to access ELS Reports
    4. Click “Agent Request Form” button
    5. Choose “ER” in pull down menu for “Type of Unsolicited Report”
    6. Choose “Yes” in pull down menu for “Receive Unsolicited Reports?”
    7. Click Output button and click yes on the next dialogue box
  3. Submit Report Request to ATO
    1. Go to Tax – Client Search
    2. Click Select for Lodgement on the left hand side
    3. Click Output button
    4. Click button List returns to send to check for lodgement
    5. If happy with the output files to send, click connect
  4. Retrieve ELS Reports
    1. Go to Tax – Client Search
    2. Click Select for Lodgement on the left hand side
    3. Click Output button
    4. Select connection type: Retrieve Reports Only
    5. Click Connect Now button
  5. View ELS Reports
    1. Go to Tax – Client Search
    2. Click ELS Reports on the left hand side
    3. Double click on downloaded report to select
    4. Press Ok
    5. Either preview or print report on printer

Note: I do not know how long it will take for the requested report to be run by the ATO, hence when retrieving reports, there might be nil reports retrieved a few days after requesting any specific reports.

Re: EFT Reconciliation Statement

Correction, change step 2.2 to "Click Lodgement setup under the practice heading on the left hand side"
