Re: SQL users

Hi @ford,

I have quite a lot of SQL experience, what are you looking to do / achieve?

Cheers.

Re: SQL users

Hi

Thanks for your reply.

I want to understand it a bit more because I installed the backup software Veeam. I don't want to use it any more so I uninstalled the programme in the add/removed programmes but because it uses sql 2012 there are still server services processes for Veeam in the sever configuration manager window. The state of them are stopped. But I want to remove them entirely but don't know how.

Also we have Accountants office which uses sql 2008 and the AE sql which uses 2012 and I don't want to mess those up if I try and remove the services and protocols for Veeam.

If you can suggest something would be great, thanks

Ford

Re: SQL users

Hi @ford

Providing that Veeam has set up a separate instance, you can safely remove the Veeam Instance, without removing the MYOBACCT instance (which is used for AE).

Make sure when you do this, that you don't remove the "Shared Tools" etc which includes Studio Manager.

The SQL Installation Manager for 2012 should step you through the removal - you can remove just one instance while leaving others intact.

cheers,
