Setting / Merging "Code Type" when restructuring Practice Manager

Hi

In AO Practice Manager we have a bunch of "Code Type" setup for time summaries. We are doing an internal restructure and wanted to "merge" some codes (and thus the underlying time summary data). I can see it is easy to "rename" and "add" but we are shortenning our tables to make it easier for staff and thus "merging" similar codes would be important.

Has anyone done this or can anyone assist in where to do this?

Thanks

Anthony

Hi @AntBelrose

Thanks for your post, and welcome to the MYOB Community Forum - we hope you find it a wealth of info!

In AO Practice Manager, it is not possible to merge codes together.  However, you can mark any code as not availalbe in timesheets, and you can amend any code name for the ones you want to keep.

To make codes not available in timesheets

  1. Follow the menu path Maintenance > Maintenance Map > Miscellaneous > Code Types.
    The Code Typesscreen appears.
  2. Expand the relevant CodeType section by click the crosshair [+] to the left of Timesheet for example. Delete the word  Timesheets in the Availability field and then click OK to save changes.

cheers,

Re: Setting / Merging "Code Type" when restructuring Practice Manager

Thanks for getting back to me, may I suggest for the development team that the ability to merge codes would be useful.

Having said this, I have looked at your solution but can't " Delete the word  Timesheets" from the Availability column.

When I click on Timesheets I get a drop down list of one being "timesheets".

I tried "delete" button and "backspace" on the keyboard but to no avail. The "Timesheets" selection won't budge.

Any other thoughts on how to remove?

Thanks

Anthony
