Transferring Tax Data from AO Classic to the new AO

Hello, all.

I just did an upgrade for a client, taking AO Classic to version 20.0 and the new AO to version 2017. Both were successful, as were all the workstation updates. But then I came to do the migrating of Tax Manager data from Classic to New. So I got to the Server and run AO Classic to do the Pre-Migration Check, but AO Classic refuses to run - as it says that it's version 17 and the database is not compatible. WTF? I just upgraded it to v20 - from v19. A little help, please.

Hi @ITWorx_NZ

you will need to ensure that you perform a "workstation install" for AO Classic on the server from the MYOBAO\Setup folder.

the AO Classic server install does not perform a workstation install.

cheers,

Thanks, Matt. I'll give that a go and report back. Might be a few days before I get in there, though.

Okay, that worked. You might want to change your upgrade instructions to include this important piece of info, though.
