We rolled the AccountRight Enterprise V19.5 file into the new financial year recently. The file size did not decrease although 12 months of data was purged. We optimise the file regularly and also verify everyday. File size is now approx. 639,000 kb and the system is slow.
What can be done to reduce the file size ? I don't understand how the file size increases when all we have left after rolling into the new year is opening balances. What is taking up all this file space ?
What can be done to reduce this. What else can I delete / purge ?
Can we start a new / clean file and somehow bring across the last bank recs and employee details, card details from the old file ?
There has been a suggestion to upgrade to EXO however we don't need any of the functions provided by EXO.
Help please

Good morning
You will need to optimise the company file after rolling to reduce the file size - the optimise process is where the data file is actually rebuilt, and the spaces left by the purged records are removed.
You can start a new data file by exporting all of your lists (card, accounts, items ect) but it is probably best to get a certified consultant to assist you with that.
