Partner access to client older versions

Hi Everyone,

I have the Professional Partner Disc and I have been handed a copy of an old MYOB file to work on.

The client is unsure of what version of MYOB she has but I can see the file type is "Video CD Movie".

How do I access the file without upgrading it to say v19 as I have to be able to give the file back after the work is done?

What do I need to download from the disc?

Thanks in advance.

Try using the Company File Manager from your partner cd

Re: Partner access to client older versions

Hi

The type of fyle is determined by what the file extension has been registered as on your computer.  A .dat extension is for MYOB files from around V14 and prior as well as movies and different database file extensions.  There is, but perhaps only for files of .myo extension, a utility on the PPCD that will tell you the version of the file.
