Reports

I'm using Account Right Plus with Windows 7. When producing a report, the program allows you to eliminate all the ticked components and enter your own requirements (eg. In Accounts where you want to get details of several accounts in the Accrual Report).  If you require a range the ticks don't appear until you reach the last item. It equally applies when doing payroll and selecting the range of employee Pay Advices you want to print. It's an odd way to do it and it wasn't like this with the older versions. Then the ticks appeared as you ran down the page. Is it a pecularity with my computer or do other users have the same situation.

Re: Reports

Hi Boba,

I think you will find that this is more to do with your operating system graphic display settings, as I have just tested this on XP machine and Windows 7 machines and both system have the ticks appear as I drag down the selection.

Sorry I can't get rid of your problem for you, but at least you can fiddle with display settings to try and find the option that works.

Re: Reports

Margaret,

Thanks for that answer. At the moment it's a bit 'hit and miss' as nothing appears as you drag and only when you stop do you find out the selected accounts. It certainly didn't do it on the old computer so as you suggest I'll fiddle around with the settings to see if I can eliminate it.

Thanks again for your help.

Re: Reports

Hi Boba

Go into your Windows 7 control Panel and turn off the fancy Windows 'Aero' feature.

This windows feature is incompatible with many 'Older' software packages (even some Microsoft products have problems with it).

Re: Reports

Matthew,

Thanks for that response.  Windows 7 have some spectacular themes and I was using one of several. I moved to a convential Windows theme and the highlighting in MYOBimmediately  reverted to its nornal state. Whilst Account Right Plus V19.5 is not an 'Old' programme I suppose you mean that it is one that has been around for a while and upgraded. It's surprising that MYOB are not aware of the effect of the Aero themes on their programmes.

Thanks again for a very knowledgeable answer.
