Restore from backup

Hello,

 

Can anyone please help?

 

My accountant has been doing loans personal some work on our books and has just sent me the data back in zip format. I have tried to restore from a backup but it doesnt seem to do anything (just flashes back to the login screen?)

 

I am using AccoutEdge Mac - 9.6

 

First I went to file / restore from disc

I then chose the file that my accountant sent

I then chose the folder that the mycompany.myo file is in

 

The screen then goes strainght back to the login screen ???

G'day Daniel

 

You need your accountant to send you the open file or .SIT file (which he probably can't do).  Mac does not recognise a .ZIP file so you will never get anywhere trying to open one of these.

You need to use Winzip - a windows utility - to restore the file. Winzip won't run on a mac unfortunately. Also, inform your accountant he should be using Stufit Expander for windows and he will be able to send this to you in future as a sit file.
