We have Business basics v 1.1 ( for several years) and it is just my husband- no employees.
Our new accountant has emailed our file back to us- after he completed our BAS return- and he has done this in his version of MYOB- as the file is " P-lus19". This why I cannot restore the file into our MYOB.... ( thank you online help)- extremely helpful!
Now my question is - what upgrades do I need to be able to be parallel to my accountant?
We may be growing our business, as luxury watches we have the possibility to sell of a regional franchise.
What upgrade do we need? We have invoice books- so we don't need/use invoices on MYOB.
Also have no staff or wages/timesheets.
Business Basics has been very suitable for the past few years- but if we need to upgrade for accounting purposes and possible future tracking of incoming royalties, sales of cleaning products etc I would like to get it right now.
Hope all this information helps and is not an overload.

Your accountant must have upgraded your Business Basics file to run under Plus19, which it seems has been done without your instruction or awareness. Points off to him/her.
I would suggest that it is the wrong moment to be upgrading to the new 2011 programs, due to the various issues reported and being addressed, but you could find a certified consultant near you to help you obtain version Plus 19. Your file cannot be downgraded to Standard v19, which would otherwise be suitable for your kind of business.

Hi Teresabida,
I suggest that you speak with your accountant advising her/him that to return your company file in AccountRight Plus V19 when you submitted it as a BusinessBasics company file is unacceptable as you cannot restore it.
AccountRight Basics is the replacement for BusinessBasics not AccountRight Plus V19 and I have one client who has been successfully using it for the last 6 months.
You are welcome to contact me at the email address shown below my signature and would be happy to provide you with advice Free of Charge in this instance.
