Budget - Balance sheet

I have several expenses which are capitalised and would like to track them month to month verses budget. Is it possible for MYOB Premier to report actual vs budget on a month to month basis for the balance sheet the way that it does for profit and loss? the balance sheet budget analysis is only cumulative YTD>

There is a Balance Sheet Budget Analysis report.

Reports>Accounts>Balance Sheet - Budget Analysis

This shows expected balance per month.  Did you just want the movement for the month?

Re: Budget - Balance sheet

Thanks for the reply. Yes movement for month not cumulative, similar to the option available on the Profit&Loss budget analysis

Re: Budget - Balance sheet

I note that it seems you can't export the balance sheet budget on a month to month basis either

Re: Budget - Balance sheet

Whilst it isn't ideal, you can measure the movement in Balance Sheet accounts by running the "General Ledger Summary Report" for the month you want.

You can customise for the specific accounts or show "all" and get the Profit and Loss data at the same time.

I am not sure what you mean by export.  I think you mean you want to send the report somewhere eg excel.  This can be done from the report itself.

Display the report and select the "send to" button at the bottom.  Choose "excel" and the report will be displayed in the excel folder.  You can manipulate the data from there.

Re: Budget - Balance sheet

As in you cannot export the budget to excel on a monthly basis i.e. in the form you originally keyed it into MYOB...

If I run the "General Ledger Summary Report" that will get me the actual movement, which I can export to excel but I would still have to manually key the budget into the exported excel report in order to compare it...

does anyone have a solution, perhaps I should get a reportwriter... its a shame that "Dated From: To:" advanced filter in the Accounts>Profit&Loss>Budget Analysis is not available for the Balance Sheet. The multi-period budget spreadsheet appears to have this function but is also cumulative
