We're waiting on MYOB 17.1 as it apparently contains a bug fix that we need before upgrading from our current premier installation.
This is holding us up on a whole number of fronts as we did a whole lot of preparatory work and testing on 16.2/16.3 before finding this showstopper bug at the end of that (the bug is with importing files with negative inventory and therfore wrong BAS results etc...apparently a known issue fixed in the new release).
Is there any real update as to when 17.1 will be available? We've only gotten vague non-responses from the telephone support. If it's still a whiles out - any chance of a 2016 point release fixing that bug soon?
AccountRight 2017.1 is currently being worked on by the team and is currently in final stages ready to be released as soon as possible. However at this stage we don't have an official release date.
You mentioned a negative inventory issue, while the team are looking into some parts of the Import/Export Assistant with AccountRight 2017.1, I wasn't able to find any early indication* of any particular issue relating to negative inventory importing being resolved with that update.
*This is an early indication, the team are always looking into including as many features and fixes as possible into each update for AccountRight.

Thanks for your reply.
The problem is apparently a 'known problem' - well so we're told after a solid 90 minutes of support phone call and several MYOB departments getting involved. We detected it because the BASlink values did not match the MYOB GST reports (they do on Premier, not on Live).
We were told the fix is in 17.1 - would be great if this could be re-confirmed as we're defintiely waiting based on that advice....which we pay a small fortune every month for...! Here are our notes on the issue:
There were 2 issues found after importing our company file into AccountRight 2016 from Premier 19.3.
1) In AccountRight 2016, the Total Sales Value (including export sales) in the GST (Summary - Cash) Report does not equal the G1 figure in the GST worksheet in BASLink
2) The Value of GST Sales in the GST (Summary - Cash) Report in version 2016 does not equal the same figure run in Version 19.3
I've run the GST [Detail - Cash] report in both versions of the software and identified a number of transactions in Version 19.3 which don't appear in the same report from AR 2016.
I spoke to a MYOB Client Support Representative on 29th March 17 at length and she could not identify exactly what was causing the issue.
I uploaded copies of both versions of our company file for further investigation via the MYOB Secure File Transfer Server.
I was told in the end that the issue would be fixed in the 2017.1 update.
So - can you confirm there's something related to this in there??
Thanks for your help,
Based on my conversation with the phone based team member, it appeared that your original issue related to a known issue which is to do with cash reporting. This particular situation would be corrected in the AccountRight 2017.1 release. However based on further information it does look like another situation. As part of that discussion your company files have been sent in for additional analysis and you were going back to the AccountRight Classic range.
At this stage the team are still investigating and looking into that particular situation, although we do encourage you to the test the migration of that file to AccountRight 2017.1. As numerous other workflow enhancements are planned for the 2017.1 release.
Well, it's all far from ideal!
We pretty much have to move to online for a variety of reasons..so we may just have to live with this issue and work out a correction for it but it certainly seems a real issue for MYOB if there's a problem with BAS reports leading to incorrect figures in those reports....an issue they should address as a priority.
