Reporting on Item Sales Invoices, Sales Orders and Quotes as a combination of all is not currently possible from standard MYOB as you noted.
Just wanted to let you know that some of the MYOB Add-on solutions will be able to let you do this type of advanced reporting.
As an example our Business Intelligence software BI4Cloud comes with many standard reports, very focused on Sales Inventory, Jobs etc.
One report we have allows you to report on the one page Item Sales, Item Orders and Item Quotes. You can then filter to include all or exclude quotes etc.
See a sample screen shot below, here I have also run this as a:
- Monthly sales report by Item
- Grouped the Items by Item Group ( using one of the Custom Lists)
- Displaying Qty, $ Sales and also Margin %, I have hidden other fields like Ave Price, COGS, Gross Profit etc.
This type of report could also be run to compare to the same peiord, month or year to date last year etc.
