Hi all,

 

Apologies to AccountRight and Essentials users who experienced difficulty accessing their online files on Monday. We certainly appreciated your patience while our team worked to resolve the problem, and understand that such incidents can be a significant inconvenience when running your business. The team has spent much of the week working to ensure we don’t experience the issue again.

 

This week we also formally launched our free MYOB OnTheGo app for Apple and Android mobile devices. We’re excited that the app now integrates with MYOB Essentials as well as AccountRight so even more users can manage their accounts and cashflow while on the move.

 

Features of MYOB OnTheGo include:

  • The ability to create and send items and service invoices on the go
  • Customer management and real-time debtor status information
  • Recording cash and cheque payments
  • Real-time MYOB account updates.

 

General Manager of MYOB’s Connected Services division, Andrew Birch, says OnTheGo is part of our commitment to making business life easier. “Mobile technologies are increasingly blurring the line between personal and work lives and with this comes endless opportunities and applications, especially for small business owners,” he says.

What we are focused on is analysing the state of play, listening to our customers and evolving with the technology to make sure we’re providing the very best. MYOB is empowering owners to manage their business on the go - including cash flow. AccountRight and Essentials users who are looking for a solution with payment functionality can attach the MYOB PayDirect Mobile Payments Service. Combining the app with the PayDirect Card Reader turns a smartphone into a secure payment terminal that takes card payments.

 

It’s been another incredibly busy week on the forum. We’ve welcomed another 350 new members and over 1000 posts have been submitted, including 400 from MYOB staff.
