Anniversary Date - convert common to actual

I have just migrated to MYOB Payroll Essentials from a stand alone desktop version MYOB Payroll.  6 of our long-term staff had a common anniversary date of 31/12 (because we shut down at Christmas for 2 weeks) but our most recent 3 employees we have set them up as their actual start date (I prefer this method - makes more sense).  MYOB have migrated our historic data including holiday balances, but they have entered ALL staff as their ACTUAL anniversary.  Does this matter? ie. it is ok to change the anniversary date without disadvantaging the employee or the employer? Thanks

Re: Anniversary Date - convert common to actual

Hi there @Janine_M

You would need to check the the leave balance brought forward is correct - as the leave balance will need to revert back to their last anniversary date before the common anniversay (unless it has rolled since then), so that they get the correct entitlement at the next individual anniversary. As MYOB did this conversaion - they should be able to advise you whether they did this or not.
