I have reiinstalled MYOB Payroll and want to point the location of the payroll data files to somewhere other than the default users\public location. I did this as part of the re-installation but for some reason this didn't seem to register. For the reinstall I cleared all the folders/locations of previous files and even went into the registry and cleared any reference to Payroll. But, whenever I load Payroll it persists in looking into the users/public folder and when I say I would like to choose another folder it locks up and I have to force it closed using Task Manager. The option within the application to choose or change data file location is greyed out. If I transfer my datafiles into the users/public location everything works fine.
If anyone could help that would be great.

When you first log into Payroll - right click the icon on your desktop and "run as administrator" - this will allow you access to the area you require.
