Is there a way that MYOB can calculate this automatically as it does for annual leave or do we just adjust the rate for public holidays each time we are pyaing.  Just to clarify that the rate for a public holiday would be the same as for annual leave rate as this is the average of the last 52weeks pay divided by hours worked?

The leave calculation for sick leave, bereavement leave, public hols and leave in lieu differs under different circumstances. There are some times when it will be relevant daily pay - which is the average of the last 4 weeks, sometimes it is ordinary pay, and sometimes average daily pay, so the calculation must be done each time. If you use average daily pay rate - then yes it is the same as the annual leave rate which calculates automatically. If an employee worked the public holiday, then the rate is ORD1.5 which is Time & half.
