Duplicate Bank Transactions

Hi all

 

i am using MYOB Business Basic as a stand alone user, it approx 5 years old

 

i have entered bank charges in my records twice for one month

 

They both have the same ID # and are for the same amount, the descriptions are different.

 

Could anybody help in how to delete one of them?

 

any help would be appreciated

Hi @Bonic


To delete a bank charge in BusinessBasics I would do the following steps:

  1. Navigate to the required transaction i.e. go to Banking>>Bank Register and select the relevant transaction.
  2. With that transaction on screen, go to Edit>>Delete Transaction

Do note that Setup>>Preferences>>Security>>Transactions can be changed they must be reversed needs to be disabled to allow that deletion.

This will delete that transaction from appearing in the list of transactions when reconciling and in your Bank Register.

I will also note that the other similar transaction should not be affected as it sounds like they are two different transactions i.e. two different memos.
