Is there any way to import a file to update the stock on hand figures in AR?
I'm just setting up a company file and it is going to be a slow laborious task to manually enter them in.

Thanks for your question
When setting up the opening inventory in AccountRight the best way to enter this information, as per our help article Set up items, is to use the Count Inventory feature of AccountRight. This lets you enter in all of the on-hand quantity items and then generate an Inventory Adjustment transaction to bring all of the opening on hand quantities into your file.
Alternatively, if you have all of the on-hand inventory quantities saved into an Excel spreadsheet then you could create the inventory adjustment import file and import that into AccountRight. This will save you having to enter all of the on hand balances through the Count Inventory window.
To create the import file, the best way is to enter in one Inventory Adjustment transaction and then export that out as a template and enter in the rest of the on hand items using the formatting in the template file.
