alphabetizing items on invoices/purchase orders

It would be great to have a feature of alphabetizing items on invoices and purchase orders. in AccountRight online.

Inventory - Item List can be sorted by name by clicking the Name Field but no where else is this feature. It is handy to have particularly when creating Invoices or Orders of large quantity of lines.

Is it possible to have this added?

Re: alphabetizing items on invoices/purchase orders

Hi @Global

Currently in AccountRight when an item is added to an invoice or purchase and when that respected transaction is printed it will print in the order that they appear on screen. There is no additional sorting done by the program to ensure that the items in alphabetical order.

In saying that if you would like to see that as a feature in the future I would encourage you to show your support for Item sorting on the AccountRight Idea Exchange

Kind Regards,

Re: alphabetizing items on invoices/purchase orders

Hi, thanks for reply.

We deal in books and when we receive customer orders we have to pick the stock by title, not number. We enter it on invoices and manual sort into alphabetical arrangement. It would be easier if you could enter the order and selection the Item Name bar in the processing screen (like in the Item list screen thgis function is already there) to sort by alphabetical. It would make our customers happy to check off lists of books listed by title if they were sorted also. This would also apply to Purchase Orders.

I originally asked for this back in 2013 but nothing has been actioned or commented
