I have just realised whilst attempting to create a financial report for the month of January that general journal entries dated 31.01.12 are not included in the P&L. when I transaction find for the month they still do not appear. I have to change the date to 01/02/2012 and the 31/01/12 jnl entries appear. However they are still not on the P&L.
Can anyone enlighten me please????????????????

Can you tell us exactly which P&L reports you ran where the jnls did not appear?
I agree with your comment on the date range in Find Transactions, see attachment.

Dear Mike
my apologies for the confusion. I had numerous windows opened and numerous reports trying to work out the problem. I do believe the report total was correct but the transaction listing was where the error lay. can this be brought to the attention of the appropriate people to be fixed.

Hi Christine,
Just wanted to let you know I have rang Mike about this issue and we were able to correct it by installing Service Pack 2.1.
Can you check for updates for me and ensure you have installed all available updates. You can confirm you are on the current version by selecting "Help" >> "About AccountRight". The current "File Version" should show 2011.1.13.6212.

Hi Barry
I didn't see release notes for SP 2.1? Are there any?

Dear Mike
I was unaware of the 2.1 service pack and so am grateful for your advice. I have installed the pack and look forward to the enhancements.

Hi Mike,
The only details I have on Service Pack 2.1 can be found through this thread and mentions it fixes issues related to customised forms.
I understand this doesn't mention the error you were experiencing however from the testing we did together, Service Pack 2.1 did correct the timing error in General Journal entries.

Hi Barry, I'm 100% sure that PD knows exactly what went in to SP2.1. Not to advise partners and users of the fixes that have been brought out is a lost opportunity to communicate with your customers, aside from being poor software practice. Could you prevail on the right people to issue official release notes, even if there are only 2 fixes in it.

Hi Mike,
I do understand what you are saying and I will flag this post to Product Development and the appropriate departments.
