When doing backup I receive error message "termination code 1263 Error - 5 in DMEndBackup (5114:0:0)" and MYOB shuts down.
Try backing up to a different location - for example on the same HDD that holds the company file. If this fails I suggest you try Optimising the file - do this locally not over a network - this will check for file corruption and will rebuild the file and can fix some issues.
