(Some have had computers stolen leaving their financial records open - this is a SERIOUS problem) And nothing has been done. There is no need to try and guess what users want. There are already TRIED and PROVEN security protocols in pace on many other platforms that are simple and WORK Copy of my latest reply Well that's fantastic Just received an UPDATE....... Absolutely no fixes for this problem included in the update... Lucky I wasn't holding my breath... Obviously the problem of data leaks and financial security is not serious enogh for them to regard it as urgent They posted this as a reply https://community.myob.com/t5/Moving-to-the-new-AccountRight/Update-Improved-Security-2FA-changes/td... Why don't they just do what all other major software platforms do for security - Have standard login credentials/password - 2FA (but optional) - If not a trusted device then ALWAYS log users out NO MATTER how they shut down. (you shouldn't have convoluted methods to sign out and exit the software). - Optional Trusted device (but must be set by Administrator with a set time limit) Its simple and effective How did they get it so wrong...???? Re: Not required to enter password for accountright This is incorrect and as detailed on many other threads this is not working.... even when you sign out all of our computers DO NOT request sign in the next day leaving our data completely exposed. Some have had computers stolen recently leaving their financial and employee data exposed Feel free to read this one as an example Re: Myob no longer requiring password to log in (no settings were changed) - DANGEROUS When you exited MYOB you were automatically signed out... perfect Previously everyone was happy with that. All you need to do was provide an option to request 2fa each time for those that were more security concious. This is not a good look for MYOB and you would be better off in future asking you customer base about for their opinion prior to such extreme security changes Re: Not required to enter password for accountright No - we know how to change a password. Our system has recently started this as well. Even if you sign out and shut the computer down. when you open MYOB it no longer asks for a password. I am only admin and no changes were made. This is extremely dangerous. THIS IS OUR ACCOUNT SYSTEM BEING LEFT UNPROTECTED. WHAT HAS CHANGED. I CANNOT FIND A SETTING TO FIX THIS Re: Invoice email notification turn off Steven_M We all know there has been a change. That is obvious by the number of complaints regarding the change. This change is causing a considerable amount of watsed time and effort for ALL users for absolutely no benefit. What is ridiculously frustrating for all of us is generic replies that provide virtually no acknowlegment of the huge delays and problems this change is causing and that it does not appear to have had any priority placed upon fixing a change that should never have happened.. What would be refreshing is that you team acknowlege that in hindsight this was obviously not very well thought out prior to releasing the change and then removing the change. We write code for software at out company. This is a minor change and can be remedied easily. Steven_Mnow that is frustrating Re: Invoice email notification turn off why did you delete my post. It was critical but not nasty or rude. Seriously guys... if you can't take criticism then you shouldn't have a forum. The whole idea is to improve and fix problems. We pay for your service and should be able to ask fo solutions I wish myob was as quick at rectifying problems Re: Invoice email notification turn off 100% correct.... absolute time waste of an idea not one other app or program that we use does this...
