Re: Departments in AccountRight HiLMCob One option I often use where clients are already using Jobs for projects but also need to have Departments is to setup Departments as Job Headers. Then simply allocate your existing Jobs under the relevent Department header job. You may need to also have an Admin or Misc Job for each department each is allocated under the respective Department Job header. Remember you can have up to 4 levels of Job headers so this can be very powerful. Once setup you simply allocate each line of each transaction to the relevent Job number and the Department is already attached. See: Use Job Headers to group similar Jobs together One limitation is that you are not able to enter in monthly budgets by job/department however some of the MYOB addon solutions can help with this like our solution BI4Cloud Business Intelligence. See Using Jobs to run Departments or Cost Centres - With Monthly Job Budgets Ultimate Month end Job P&L - With Monthly Job Budgets I hope that helps. Re: Job Budget for 12 months - Month by Month HiChockG Some of the MYOB Addon solutions will allow you to do more advanced Jobs reporting including load in and report on monthly Job budgets. For example our Business Intelligence solution BI4Cloud will allow you to do this. See: Using Jobs to run Departments or Cost Centres - With Monthly Job Budgets Ultimate Month end Job P&L - With Monthly Job Budgets All details and a Free Trial are available at BI4Cloud.com. I hope this helps Re: Job tracking in AccountRight HIKm3 Yes the majority of the Jobs reports in MYOB will only report on transactions once invoiced as you say. You will find some of the MYOB Add-on solutions will be able to provide more advanded reporting over Jobs data. As an example our Business Intelligence solution BI4Cloud includes reports that show by Job what is invoiced, bills along with any out-standing POs and Sales Orders. This is really useful to keep a close eye on ultimate Job profitability and also to use to help with WIP calculations. We do not include Quotes by Job only once transactions are entered as a Sales Order. See the following link for more information Use Jobs to Manage Project Type Jobs and WIP You are able to run this report using our 14 day free trial at BI4Cloud.com. I hope this helps Re: sales register HiTrackmagicak As it is your Customer that has the multiple branches (rather than these being your branches) suggest the possible options may help, you will need to check if you can display on the Sales register or maybe just be able to report on this data: Setup a separate Customer card for each Branch, when you Invoice the main customer select under the Ship to select Choose another card and select the branch customer card; and or Enter the Branch name in the Customer PO field on each Invoice Re: Analyse Sales Multi Period Hiswatts11, If the data is still in your MYOB file then some of the Add-on Apps will help you to easily access and analyse all Sales History. As an examaple our Add-on solution BI4Cloud Business Intelligence allows you to produce very flexible sales and margin reports over all MYOB sales history. You would be able to easily produce a Multi Period Sales report over 5 years of history using our Free 14 day trial. Reports can be exported to Excel too. Below is a simple Multi year Sales by Customer, this could easly be changed to Sales by Item, Brand, Customer Channel, Postcode, State etc. If you also run and sell Inventory in MYOB then this Multi Year Sales report can also include Qty, Ave Price and Margin information too, see an example below. Re: Analyse Sales Customer Multi Period - With Card Id HIAmandaRobertsC You will find some of the Addon Solutions will let you easily create a monthly Sales report including the Customer name and ID, that can then be exported to excel. As an example our Business Intelligence solution BI4Cloud allows you to produce a large array of very flexible Sales and Margins reports ( along with Invnetory, P&L, Purchasing and Jobs). See below a Montlhy Sales by Customer report including the Customer ID running over a 12 months Rolling period However if your real aim is to create a Multi year sales by customer comparison report then using BI4cloud there is no need to do this export and v lookup you can simply run a Multi-year Customer Sales report, or even run the Monthly Sales report but select a longer date range e.g. the past 2 years or a rolling 12 months etc. See below a Yearly Sales by Customer report including the Customer ID You can also run the above reports showing Qty, sales and Margins if you sell inventory. Our clients often use this type of report that you are after to identify when customers are buying less. See this link for more suggestions on how to run reports to help find: Which Customers have Stopped buying? If you think this will be of help all details and a free trial are available on our website BI4Cloud.com.
