Hi all,

As we are rapidly heading towards Christmas, I have spent much of the past month finalising plans for further developing the Community Forum in 2013. We have made many behind-the-scenes changes this year as well as redeveloping the forum to help make it a better resource for all. But we will continue to work on further improvements, and certainly welcome your feedback.

One question that has popped up a few times this week is how to keep track of all the threads on the forum. Obviously you can click on the Recent Topics link on our purple navigation bar from any page to receive a list of the most recent threads. But you might not know that you can also use the Unread Discussions page to quickly and easily see any threads or posts you might have missed. Hope you find it useful.

We also often hear that forum users want to be notified when their question receives a response. This is easy to do. We recommend you automatically subscribe to any topics you participate in so you never miss a reply. This ensures you receive an email every time someone posts in a thread you have participated in. The setting is the first under the Subscriptions & Bookmarks tab in My Settings.

You might also like to consider subscribing to your favourite boards. This means you will be emailed whenever there is a new post in the board you are interested in. You can choose to receive these emails immediately, or get daily or weekly digests. You can configure this setting in My Settings. To subscribe to a board, just open a board you want to bookmark, then choose Subscribe from the Board options drop-down list.

Please remember our extensive forum help guide has a lot of useful information and training videos.

It was another busy week on the forum, with around 215 new members joining the community and over 470 posts, including 120 from MYOB staff. Our top contributors this week were Mike_James, Geoff_, Julie_A_C, jenniek and Marilyn.

Thank you to all community members who generously spent time on the forum this week sharing their knowledge and expertise to assist others. Let us know if there is anything we can do to assist you.

Love your work,
