Hi all,

The Australian end of financial year is rapidly approaching. Fortunately our comprehensive new End of Financial Year website should help make EOFY as easy as ABC.

The site includes easy-to-follow steps for your MYOB software, detailed Support Notes, and training videos about common end of financial year processes such as closing a financial year, closing a payroll year and reconciling transactions.

We also have videos about how AccountRight is ready for the new financial year in terms of compliance, and assistance with the new taxable payments reporting obligations for those in the building and construction industry.

We often get contacted by clients at this time of year who are nervous about compliance. There’s no need to worry - we are on schedule to deliver our compliance update for both v19 and the new AccountRight before the end of June. We certainly understand the update is critical to thousands of Australian businesses. You can sign up to be immediately notified when the update is available. In the meantime, there are things you can do to prepare, including making sure you are using the latest version of our software.

It was another busy week on the Community Forum, with over 280 new members and over 550 posts. Our top contributors for the week were Tazinx, Mike_James, Geoff_, Julie_A_C and jenniek.

Geoff_  was again the star of the week with five posts marked as solutions. Julie_A_C, Tazinx, jenniek and Seattle also had multiple posts marked as Accepted Solutions.

Many thanks to all those community members who so generously shared their knowledge and expertise with others on the forum this week. It’s much appreciated, and will be even more welcome as we head into the busy end of financial year period.

Love your work,

Jason Hill

    Jason,

    Thank you for your feedback.

I went to both the Reckon and Xero roadshows recently.

Reckon made respectful mention of MYOB and Xero.

Xero appeared not to want to mention their competitors by name.

Maybe I am old fashioned, but I believe it is important to treat people with respect and acknowledge those who contribute to our industry/ profession.
