In addition to growing lots of moustaches to support men’s health initiatives, this month MYOB is supporting Australian small businesses with the Shop Small campaign.
Shop Small is an international movement committed to advocating for local small businesses. It was created four years ago by American Express as a one-day event in the US, and has now spread around the globe.
MYOB CEO Tim Reed is excited about championing small business through Shop Small. “MYOB is a passionate advocate for people who have the courage to get up and have a go at being their own boss,” Tim says. “It takes a lot of guts, hard work and sacrifice. We understand a little support can make a big difference, so we encourage all Australians to support local businesses.”
This month five Australian small businesses will win a makeover grant worth $10,000 each courtesy of MYOB. All business owners need to do is to tell us how a makeover will help them love their work, and take a ‘Business Selfie’ (a photo that encapsulates their business) to share via social media. A new winner will be announced each week.
MYOB is also giving away 100 prizes of $250 cash to the customers of small businesses participating in the Shop Small campaign, plus three months free access to MYOB Live products.
It’s been another busy week on the Community Forum, with 500 posts in the past seven days, including over 180 from MYOB staff. We also happily welcomed another 185 members to the community.
