Our development team celebrated the AccountRight Live API’s first birthday this week.
We don’t expect you to be as fascinated about application programming interfaces as our tech gurus here at MYOB, but all AccountRight users should be excited about the possibilities ahead.
In the 12 months since the API launched, we now have more than 800 third-party developers working with the API to create new add-ons for your software. There are already 70 add-ons available for AccountRight Live across 20 categories.
The best thing about the API is its flexibility. It’s available for use with any programming language and any platform, such as Mac, Windows, and mobile operating systems like iOS, Android and Windows Mobile. The way our upcoming PayDirect mobile payments solution interacts with AccountRight Live is a great example of the possibilities the API offers. Our Windows 8 companion app is another.
We’ll have plenty of more exciting news soon, but do check out our MYOB Add-On Centre regularly for new solutions to extend the functionality of your accounting software and help make business life easier.
It was another busy week on the Community Forum, with over 230 new members joining the community and over 500 posts, including 150 from MYOB staff.
