MYOB is a hive of activity at the moment as we prepare for several exciting launches. All share a common theme – quick and easy.
On Monday LiveAccounts will be transformed into MYOB Essentials, with an all-new look and feel. It’s faster and easier to use, works great on mobile devices, and plenty of new functionality is on the way.
We’ve also been gearing up for the launch of the MYOB PayDirect mobile payments service, helping small businesses to get paid faster and easier.
For AccountRight users, the new 2014.1 update will be available to all very shortly. Early feedback from Partners has been overwhelmingly positive, particularly regarding the lightning fast install time. We're also excited to have been able to implement the number one request on the AccountRight Idea Exchange to help make business life easier.
Here on the Community Forum we’re also launching enhancements of our own. When you log in on Monday I hope you will enjoy the changes.
In response to frequent requests for improved access to your most commonly visited boards, we’re introducing a new component on the front page called My Favourite Boards. Adding boards to your list, as well as arranging them in any order you like, is very quick and easy. I’ve attached a screenshot below so you can get a sneak peek.
We’ve also overhauled our ranking structure and introduced new badges for all community members.
Your rank will depend on how many posts you have made, how many Accepted Solutions you have authored, and how long you have been a member of the Community. Our initial ranks are easy to achieve, but users who earn one of the top ranks are very active community members who have made an outstanding and significant contribution over a long period.
The ranks (in order of status) are Contributing, Experienced, Trusted, Valued, Super and Ultimate. Here’s what the new icons look like:
We’ve also designed new icons for our Partners, including Accountants, Bookkeepers, Certified Consultants, Developers, Enterprise Division Partners and RetailManager Professionals. Here’s what the new Partner icons look like:
Overnight Sunday we’ll also be making some changes to accommodate our new products, including introducing some new boards. All existing posts will be migrated to the new boards – nothing will be removed. But please note that if you have previously set up subscriptions to receive emails about new posts in our old LiveAccounts and Atlas boards, you will need to set them up again. Apologies for any inconvenience caused.
It’s been another busy seven days on the Community Forum, with over 600 posts, including 200 from MYOB staff. We also welcomed over 300 new community members. It’s great to have you all join us and we trust you will find the forum is a fantastic resource.
Our top contributors this week were TonyLane, GDK, ronatbas, The_Doc and Nic-acc-addons. Many thanks for all your hard work assisting other community members. A special note of appreciation to TonyLane who had six posts marked as solutions this week. GDK, ronatbas and The_Doc also had multiple solution posts – great work!
