I don't want my files stored exclusively on-line. When there is no internet, I cannot access my files. Currently I have two files. I access them through the desktop, and they are stored locally in my library. I have had them stored on-line in the past, but when there is no power, I can still use my laptop, but not access my accounts. If we are away in an area where there is little or no internet, how would I be able to access my files?
I do have a file saved on-line for each company, but it is not up to date at the moment, because I have been working in off-line mode. What I usually do when I need to send the accounts to the accountant is to create a backup from the local file, open my on-line file and restore the backup. The process of restoring a backup from the Library file to the on-line file no longer seems to be available.
When I try to "Go Online (Upload this file)" it tells me I need a subscription, which I already have.
I have tried to call you three times today, each time the annoying robot woman told me that if I put in my client number I would get priority access and jump to the front of the queue. That is clearly not true. The third time I called, the line just went dead after 29 minutes and 59 seconds!
I am very unhappy with MYOB at this point. I have been with MYOB for over 28 years, and one of the best things was using the package offline.
Hi esemel
Unless you have a Premier subscription, you can only have one file online per subscription. Go Online means you want to upload another file - and MYOB won't allow you without another subscription. This is normal. What you probably want to do is to 'restore a file online' - this replaces the current online file. Use File > Restore rather than File > Go Online.

Hi gavin12345
Thank you for your reply.
I do have a Premier subscription as I have two company files. What I am trying to do, which I used to be able to do, is exactly what you suggest; restore the offline version into the online version of the file, since the online version is not up to date.
However, I don't seem to be able to restore my backup, it only provides me with the option of restoring from "Online Backups".
Any ideas?

Hi esemel
I thought this wasn't going to be the case until 17 June. This is a very disturbing development if we can no longer restore from offline backups already, before the new rules come in. It might explain all the unasked for updates I have received in the last few days.

Hi esemel
Try to Setup > Preferences > Security and tick the option to allow backup and restore offline.
