Error: Amendment return is locked

When trying to amend a return for the 2022 year, we have already done amendment, and need to do another. We are told by the error that we cannot because the return is locked. We try to unlock and get the message that you cannot unlock the amendment backup. 

 

This makes no sense to me? Can anyone help?

    I'm sorry to hear about your difficulties trying to make corrections to the previous financial year. In my understanding, it is the lock period that is hindering you from editing the transactions in the previous financial year. I would suggest removing the lock period to edit the previous year's transaction. If this does not answer your question, feel free to clarify the question and what we are trying to achieve.
