MYOB Team - option to disable leave request function

Hi, I've logged a support request but who knows how long that'll take to be actioned, so hoping I might get a quicker response here.

Is there a way to disable the leave request feature in MYOB Team? We use a different program for leave applications which integrates with a number of other systems. We don't want to invite our employees to start using Team for timesheets if we can't disable the leave requests.

    Hi H-TS

    Thanks for your post.

We understand that it could be a bit complicated on your end if you’re using two different programs that both have leave request features. We're sorry to inform you that we couldn’t disable the leave request features in MYOB Team as it was included on the program already once you used it and add your employee.

If you need further help, don't hesitate to start a new post and we'll be happy to assist.

    Thanks,

    Shella

    Thanks Shella_A

Does that mean if I remove all employees, then the leave request feature can be disabled before adding employees back in?

    Hi H-TS

    Thanks for the response.

Apologize if I haven't given you the instructions on this. When removing an employee, you should be assigned as an approving manager. This helpful article, using the MYOB Team admin portal that has all the detailed information and instructions on how you can proceed with the process.

Do let me know if you need further help.

    Cheers,

    Shella

    Sorry Shella_A

I have been on that page before, and again just now, but I still can't see how to turn off the leave request feature completely. I can only see instructions how to approve, deny or delete leave requests.

    Hi H-TS

    Thanks for the response.

We appreciate your patience with this. Just to clarify that we wouldn’t be able to remove or disable the leave management features on the MYOB Team as it is already included in the application program. Once the employee is invited to use MYOB Team or currently using the Team app, they can automatically submit a leave request and what we can do to prevent this as an approving manager is to denied/disapprove it on your end. We regret to inform you that we can’t permanently disable the leave request features.

Do let me know if you need further help.

    Cheers,

    Shella

    Thanks Shella_A

Obviously I misunderstood your first reply. I thought you meant we had to turn it off before we added employees. Thanks for the prompt replies.
