Payday Filing - File not being created for New Employee

Hi

 

I have just entered a payrun for our client, for the fortnight 23/09/2019 to 04/10/2019.

 

There was a new employee that started on 05/09/2019 but had not been paid yet.  They only gave me his details for this payrun.  However, when I process the payroll and create the EI files, it does not pick up that there is a new employee, so I cannot create the New Employee file.

 

Does his start date have to be in the current pay period?

    Hi Jacqui_M 

    But you could go back and re-create the EI return/new employee form for the period that included his start date.

    I did try that but it didn't work.  I guess becase there was no pay for him in that period?
