Pay Bills - Cheque Number

There seems to be lots of posts about changing the "cheque number" field from the "Pay Bills" screen (from way back in 2012), however nothing seems to have been done about it. Cheques are no longer used and its frustrating to have to change this number field every time you enter a payment. I usually pay via automatic payment or via internet so would like to put my own annotation in this field (like many others). Why has nothing been done about this? Thanks for any feedback.

    I don't use the browser version! Please refer to my original question about deleting the "Cheque number" from the "Pay Bills"screen. I'm using AccountRight Standard 2022.3 version - not theo nline version.
