Secure Invoicing

I am confused about emailing invoices after changing over to Secure Invoicing.

We do not use the "Send Emails Using AccountRight" function in Preferences.

Currently we use the "Send To" button when raising an invoice and it is sent via Outlook.

Do we have to upgrade to Secure Invoicing? Will we still be able to send invoices as we do now?

Regards,

Lea

Yet they still charge you for a service that MYOB isn't providing.

    Hi Amanda,

Thank you for your reply. Do you know if we can still send sales quotes and sales orders via email if we don't upgrade? Does this affect Purchase Orders?

I have spent most of my afternoon reading through what we are required to do for this upgrade plus other users comments.

I have not read one comment that shows anyone is happy with this new upgrade from MYOB. It appears to be way more trouble than it is worth. We all like the system that we are paying for now.

The Secure Invoicing/Payment refers to complying with Anti-money Laundering and Counter Terrorism Financing legislation.  I have read a bit about AUSTRAC, Australia’s AML/CTF regulator and about KYC. Which seems to apply if you are mainly in the finance sector. We are not, so why do we have to go through all this if we sell bottles or mechanical parts?

    Hey Learoy

Customers who don't complete the business verification process for the secure invoicing upgrade will be restricted from sharing invoices directly from their MYOB file. If you don't complete the verification process, you'll need to manually download a PDF copy of the invoice and email it from Outlook.

We also send emails via outlook, but just recently, we get an 'allow' or 'deny' to click for every email we send... even with 60 statements, we have to click on 'allow' for each one.

Does anyone else have this problem?
