ATO reporting catagory for unused LSL
is "unused leave on termination" the correct ATO Reporting Catagory for unused long service leave paid out on a voluntary termination?

Thank you for your post. In STP phase 2, there's different ATO reporting categories for each payroll categories. If your not sure which ATO reporting categories to assign to your payments you will need to check with the ATO or your accountant. The Help Article, Assign ATO reporting categories, has detailed information to assist you with this.

I had alraedy read the "help" article you referred me to. It does help, because it just refers the "leave" ... it is not clear whether "leave" is just unused annual leave, or also includes long service leave.
It's a pretty simple question ... someone ought to know, or be able to refer me to a reference that is more specific

Thank you for your reply. As we're not an accountants we're not permitted to advise which ATO Reporting Category to choose for the Unused Long Service Leave. I would recommend speaking to the ATO or your accountant to ensure you are reporting the payments correctly.
