ATO reporting categories - leave type W

HI

I have an employee on workcover not working at all.  ATO website says to use Leave Type W as the ATO reporting category but this isnt an option when setting up the Workcover in the Wages tab.  Gross Wages is the best fit at the moment.  I am on account right and STP2.  Is it outdated info or is it something else that I need to change elsewhere?  Thanks

  • Thanks.  I eventually found the info.  The ato site still refers to "Leave Type W" but its actually Workers Compensation.  This is when on workcover but have not yet returned to work.  They need to update their website with the correct wording to avoid confusion.  So its not a MYOB issue as all the correct codes are there just worded different on ATO website.  Thanks for the reply though

    Hi Kellie360,

Welcome to the Community Forum! In this type of scenario, it's best to check with your accountant to determine the most suitable ATO reporting category for the leave type you set up, as we do not have a specific leave type with the 'W' reporting category. I also recommend visiting this help page that you may find helpful:
